What is Reinforced Concrete?

Under certain conditions, unreinforced concrete can be susceptible to cracking, sagging, and other structural issues. As a result, reinforced concrete is one of the most commonly used construction materials. Reinforced concrete is concrete that is installed with steel reinforcing bars (or rebar) or wire mesh embedded in the surface to provide additional strength and stability to the structure.

Reinforced concrete is used to construct:

- Home foundations

- Commercial foundations

- Structural walls

- Slabs for patios and pool decks

- Columns
